See How Customers Engage With Your Proposals

Ever wish you knew whether a customer actually opened the proposal you sent? Now you can!

Written by James Kupernik

The new Proposal Engagement feature shows you exactly how homeowners are interacting with the proposals you share, including how many times they've looked, how long they spent, and which option caught their eye. You'll find it in your Past Jobs and in the Follow-Up tool, and it's there to help you follow up at just the right moment.

Knowing What's Been Shared

When you log into Airship, switch over to Past Jobs to see the appointments assigned to you from ServiceTitan, along with anything you've quoted through Airship.

Look for the small chip next to each appointment. It tells you at a glance whether that proposal was shared with the customer by email. An appointment that's been shared will be clearly marked, while one that hasn't won't show that chip — so you always know where things stand.

Watching Engagement Roll In

Once you share a proposal and the homeowner starts looking at it, the activity shows up right in your Past Jobs view. You'll see things like the number of views an proposal has received.

The numbers update as customers engage, so a quick refresh of your Past Jobs tab will show you the latest activity on your shared proposals.

Getting the Full Picture in Follow-Up

For a closer look, jump into the Follow-Up tool. This is where you'll see the detailed story of what the homeowner has been doing:

  • How many times they've viewed the proposal

  • How much time they've spent looking

  • When they last opened it

  • Which option they've spent the most time on

That last one is especially handy — if you can see a customer keeps returning to the "Good" option, you already know where to steer the conversation.

Let AI Draft Your Follow-Up

Here's where it really saves you time. Inside the Follow-Up tool, hit Improve Writing, and Airship's AI will pull together everything it knows — the engagement data and the proposal details — to draft follow-up text for your email campaign.

For example, if the customer spent the most time on the "Good" option, the AI will note that and pull in the details of the system you built around it. From there you can:

  1. Read through the draft and tweak anything you'd like to change.

  2. Select the email address (or addresses) you want to send to.

  3. Send your follow-up campaign on its way.

A Quick Refresher on Sharing a Proposal

If an appointment hasn't been shared yet, getting the proposal to your customer takes just a few taps:

  1. Open the proposal you want to share.

  2. Hit the Share button.

  3. Select the customer's email address.

  4. Hit Share again.

The homeowner receives an email right away with a link to view the proposal. Head back to Past Jobs, and you'll see that appointment now shows as shared. Engagement data will begin to fill in as soon as the homeowner starts viewing.

FAQ

How far back does proposal activity data go?

We started collecting proposal activity data on June 8, 2026.

Does this only work for new proposals?

Any proposal that is shared via email will have activity data tracked against it starting on June 8, 2026. Even if you shared a proposal before then, as long as a homeowner has visited the proposal on or after June 8, 2026 you will see engagement data.
