What Is Membership Pricing?

Membership pricing allows eligible items in an estimate to automatically reflect discounted member prices when a membership is included or already active on the customer.

This helps advisors:

  • Clearly demonstrate immediate savings

  • Accurately calculate rebates tied to member pricing

  • Present pricing consistently across options and proposals

  • Avoid manual price adjustments or guesswork

How Membership Pricing Works in Airship

There are two ways membership pricing can apply:

1. The Customer Already Has an Active Membership

If a customer has an active membership in ServiceTitan:

  • Airship detects the membership automatically

  • Eligible items default to the member price

  • Member pricing is selected without any extra steps by the advisor

This behavior mirrors ServiceTitan Mobile, where member pricing is auto-applied for existing members.

2. Adding a Membership During the Proposal

When a Comfort Advisor adds a membership service (such as a maintenance or savings plan) to an estimate:

  • All eligible items immediately become member-priced

  • Member pricing is automatically selected

  • No manual toggling or re-selection is required

This allows advisors to show the financial benefit of becoming a member in real time during the proposal conversation.

How Prices Are Displayed

Advisor View (Estimate Builder)

Airship clearly shows both prices so advisors always know what’s being applied.

  • The member price is the active price

  • The standard price appears beneath it with a strikethrough

Example:

  • $1,216.00 (member price)

  • ~$1,395.00~ (standard price)

This pricing display is consistent across:

  • Individual line items

  • Option totals

  • Section subtotals

  • Overall estimate totals

This ensures rebate calculations and totals are always accurate.

Homeowner Proposal View

On homeowner-facing proposals, pricing is shown in a simple, easy-to-understand way:

$1,216.00 member price (normally $1,395.00)

This makes the value of membership immediately clear, without overwhelming the customer.

Adding Items After a Membership Is Included

If a membership is already part of the estimate and new items are added:

  • Any item with a defined member price automatically defaults to the member price

  • Both member and standard prices display immediately

  • No extra steps are required

Pricing stays accurate even as the proposal evolves.

Removing a Membership

If the membership service is removed from the estimate:

  • All member pricing eligibility is automatically removed

  • All items revert to their standard prices

  • Only standard pricing is shown throughout the estimate and proposal

This ensures pricing always reflects the current state of the estimate.

How Airship Handles Multiple Membership Discounts

Some companies have more than one membership or multiple discount rules.

Airship always applies:

The best available price (the lowest price)

Membership discounts can be configured in ServiceTitan to apply:

  • To all products

  • To specific business units

  • To specific item categories

If multiple memberships or discounts apply to the same item, Airship automatically selects the lowest resulting price, no manual decision required.

Member Pricing vs. Percentage Discounts

Some companies (like Bellows) manage memberships differently:

  • Memberships may show a 0% discount

  • Actual savings are handled through member pricing set directly on items

  • This includes:

    • Member price

    • Member add-on price (for add-on items)

Airship fully supports this setup and correctly applies member pricing based on how your price book is configured.

Membership Pricing Is Applied Per Option

Membership pricing is applied per proposal option, not globally.

This means:

  • One option may include a membership and show member pricing

  • Another option may not include a membership and show standard pricing

This allows advisors to clearly compare:

  • “With membership” vs “without membership” options

  • Different pricing scenarios in a single proposal

Why This Matters

Membership pricing in Airship helps your team:

  • Sell memberships more confidently

  • Clearly communicate savings to homeowners

  • Eliminate pricing confusion

  • Ensure rebates and totals are accurate

  • Deliver a more professional, transparent proposal experience

By automatically handling membership pricing logic, Airship lets advisors focus on the conversation.
