Welcome to the offline beta! This feature lets you keep building proposals when you don't have a reliable internet connection, whether you're out at a job site, in a basement, or anywhere the signal drops. Your work saves right on your device and uploads automatically the moment you're back online. No manual saving, no lost work.
One important thing up front: Offline mode is for building proposals, not presenting them. You can create and edit a proposal with no connection, but presenting it to a customer still needs internet.
Turning on offline mode
Offline mode takes a minute to set up, and it's best to do this while you still have a good connection, ideally before you head somewhere you might lose signal.
Log in to Airship as usual.
Go to the Offline Sync Diagnostics page:
https://app.airship.us/service-management/schedule/offline-diagnosticsBookmark this page. It isn't linked anywhere inside Airship, so a bookmark is the easy way to find it again.
Click the Force Resync button in the top-right corner and let it finish. This downloads the pricing and reference data your device needs to work offline.
Once the resync is done, check the box for "Use offline data for pricing & costs calculations."
That's it. You're set up for offline work. It's a good habit to run Force Resync again whenever you have a strong connection, so your device always has the latest pricing.

What this means for you
Job and customer details are available offline only if you opened the job while you were online, and they're view-only. Open the jobs you'll need before you head out.
Down payment records a deposit amount on the proposal. It does not charge a card. Collecting payment and closing out the job happen in ServiceTitan, online, after the visit.
Financing: you can select from the financing plans already loaded on your device, but pulling in new or updated plans needs a connection.
Ending the service call marks the proposal as finished on your device. The actual job close-out happens in ServiceTitan once you're back online.
Customer signatures need a connection. Signing sends a request to the customer, so it can't happen fully offline.
Good to know
Set yourself up before you lose signal. Turn on offline mode and run Force Resync while you have a connection. It also helps to open the specific job while you're still online, which saves the job's details to your device so you can see them offline.
Your work saves automatically. There's no "sync" button to press. Anything you create or change offline uploads on its own as soon as your device reconnects.
Double-check prices when you're back online. Prices come from your most recent sync. If pricing changed at the office while you were offline, run Force Resync when you have signal so you're always quoting current numbers.
Stick to one editor per proposal at a time. If the same proposal is changed at the office while you're editing it offline, the most recent change is the one that's kept, so the other version can be replaced. Try to avoid editing the same proposal in two places at once.
Presenting still needs internet. You can build the whole proposal offline, but you'll need a connection to present it to the customer.
Running into trouble?
This is an early, closed beta, so a few rough edges are expected, and your feedback genuinely helps us make it better.
If a page won't load or you hit an error, start by refreshing. If the problem keeps happening, please reach out and let us know. It's especially helpful if you can tell us whether you had more than one Airship tab open at the time. That detail helps us track down what's going on.
Need a hand?
We're right here for you during the beta. If anything's confusing, not working the way you expect, or you just have a question, reach out to [email protected] and we'll help you out. No question is too small.
