Using Item Groups in Airship

Item groups let you bundle related price book items under a single main item, so your proposal stays clean and easy for customers to read.

How to add sub-items

  1. Open the proposal and the option you want to work in.

  2. Tap the item you want to use as your main item (the parent of the group).

  3. Scroll down in the item details to the Sub-Items section.

  4. Tap Add Sub-Item. This opens the Equipment and Services area of your price book.

  5. Find and add the item you want and tap "Add sub-item" button.
Pro Tip: Use the breadcrumbs at the top to move back up and browse other categories, then add as many sub-items as you need.

  6. When you're finished, tap Back to Item to return to the main item's detail page.

You'll see your sub-items listed there, along with the item group name.

Renaming the item group

Airship creates an item group name for you, but you can change it. On the main item's detail page, edit the item group name and save your update. This name is what shows up in the option overview, in your presentation, and in ServiceTitan, so it's worth picking something your customer will understand.

What you'll see in the option overview

Back on the option overview, the main item shows a small label noting how many sub-items have been added, and the item group name appears in place of the original item name.

What your customer sees

In the presentation, the customer sees only the main item with your item group name. The individual sub-items aren't listed, and they don't appear separately in the price breakdown either.

Syncing to ServiceTitan

When the proposal syncs, the item group is created in ServiceTitan using the item group name you set in Airship.
